Charlotte’s Story

Hi. My name is Charlotte Osborn. I have been attending SoCal Fitness Boot Camp for Women since 2007. Being active duty Navy, I have to maintain a certain level of fitness and pass the Navy physical fitness test twice a year. The fitness test is not easy and requires training to pass. With my work schedule and being a Command Master Chief, it was hard to find time in the day for physical training. One day I saw an add in an advertising mailer for the boot camp class that was an hour long and met at 5:45 pm in a location near Camp Pendleton. At that moment I thought this would be perfect and decided to give it a try. I was hooked after the first class and have been a boot camp junky for 8 years now.

Since coming to boot camp, I have passed my physical readiness tests with an overall score of outstanding which is the highest score along with passing the body fat composition/weight standards with ease.  Before boot camp, I was happy to just pass the test with a minimum good score. My fitness level is the best it has ever been and at 57 years old, I can do more push-ups and sit-ups than most of the females up to 30 to 40 years younger than myself. I also have to lead my Battalion in 3 mile formation runs and Battalion hikes with carrying around 60 pounds of extra weight for 6 to 8 miles. The combined cardio and strength training that SoCal Fitness Boot Camp provides enabled me to fulfill this requirement of my job and to lead with pride and confidence. I owe this all to being a boot camp junky and my personal trainer. I highly recommend SoCal Fitness Boot Camp for Women to women of all ages and fitness levels because being a boot camper will help you meet your weight loss and fitness goals as it helped me to meet and exceed my goals.
