What year did you start as a Personal/Group Trainer?


Why did you get into fitness?

I got my bachelor’s degree in pre-physical therapy and realized I did not want to have to work a 9-5 job, but rather help people get fit and healthy.  Becoming a personal trainer gave me the flexibility to not have to work long hours, but still get to help people reach their goals.

Why did you become a trainer?

When I was 18 I used to do exercise videos with a group of ladies, and I would stand  in front leading them and helping them do the exercises correctly.  I figured out after college that I really enjoyed helping people get fit, and that motivating them was really fun.

What is your personal motivation for staying fit and healthy?

My personal motivation to stay fit and healthy is I want to look and feel young as long as possible, and I really enjoy being active all the time.  Whether it’s beach volleyball, golfing, yoga, weight training,  or running on the beach, I am out there doing it.

What’s your favorite movement?

My favorite movement is burpies, and expect to do a lot of them in my class.

What is your favorite outdoor activity?

Beach volleyball
